GRASSHOPPER PIE

Grind 26 chocolate wafers in processor. ( Not Oreos, but the thin plain chocolate wafers used for whipped cream cakes, called specifically Chocolate Wafers.)
Melt ½ stick of butter
Add 1 Tablespoon of sugar

Combine wafer crumbs, butter and sugar, press into an 8" pie dish, and chill.

Sprinkle 1 package of gelatin ( not Jell-O©) over ½ cup of water. Let it stand 5 minutes then beat and stir until dissolved.

In Processor or KitchenAid mixer,
combine 8 oz cream cheese with
¾ cup sugar and beat until fluffy. Beat in the gelatin mixture.
Add 1/3 cup crème de menthe.

Fold in 2 cups of heavy cream whipped, except save ½ cup for topping.
Move this mixture into the chilled shell. Spread reserved whipped cream over the top.
