NANCY'S TUNA CHEESE SOUP

1 can plain old tomato soup
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1 can milk
1 can tuna fish
some chopped onion
1 tomato
maybe salt and pepper, but taste it first.

Sauté the chopped onion until it's transparent. (This basic step for so many soups can be done in the microwave, for haste, but then you don't have the lovely flavor in your soup pan, nor the lovely aroma in the house.)
To get a little chopped onion, make cuts half an inch deep all the way across, rotate the onion and cut across the first lines at right angles, then slice off the cut area into the soup. For safety, cut off a small piece of the botttom of the onion to make a flat place to settle it on.

Add all the canned things. Stir until hot enough. It needs to be well blended, maybe using a whisk. Cut the tomato into small pieces and add to each bowlful. Serve with really good thick bread.
